Program Strengths

Strengths include a full spectrum of historical philosophy from ancient to contemporary; emphasis on scholastic philosophy and Thomism; and the integration of philosophical and theological inquiry. DSPT is unique among our peer institutions in being the only school to offer a concurrent MA study option in which students may obtain both MA (Philosophy) and MA (Theology) degrees by writing one thesis (approximately 120 pages in length).
