We already have a number of women on our faculty--6 out of 15. All of these women are tenured and four are full professors.. We have also been more successful recently in increasing the number of women among our graduate students--currently 8 out of 35.

The department is strongest in Metaphysics (both analytic and traditional) and Environmental Philosophy. We also have significant strengths in Feminist Philosophy, History of Philosophy, Ethics, Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind.
