Additional efforts to increase inclusiveness:
Hiring faculty in Africana, Latin American, and Feminist Philosophy. Course offerings in Africana, Latin American, Feminist Philosophy, Philosophy of Race and Racism. New course development in partnership with Milwaukee Department of Corrections offering courses with a combined population of Marquette students and students from the Milwaukee Women's Correctional Center. Participation in University climate surveys and initiatives. Future plans to participate in college-wide interdisciplinary programs under development. Faculty affiliations with newly-established university Gender and Sexuality Center. Active support of the university-wide strategic plan to increase diversity through hiring, programing, curricular development and becoming a designated Hispanic Serving Institution.

Additional Information:
In the Social and Applied Philosophy track, the student must complete 24 credit hours (8 courses) of graduate-level course work and six credit hours of practicum work. In the History of Philosophy track, the student must complete 30 credit hours (10 courses) of graduate-level course work and either pass a comprehensive exam (plan A) or pass a comprehensive exam and complete a MA thesis (plan B).
